Google Assistant Heads to Tablets, Older Android Phones

Google is now rolling out the vocalization-based virtual assistant to smartphones running Android 5.0 Lollipop. The expansion comes after Google brought Assistant to smartphones running Android six.0 Marshmallow and higher in February.
Meanwhile, Google is too at present bringing the digital helper to tablets for the offset time.
"With the Assistant on tablets, you can you can get help throughout your day—prepare reminders, add to your shopping listing (and see that same list on your telephone later), control your smart devices like plugs and lights, ask about the atmospheric condition and more," Google Assistant Program Managing director Maksim Mukha wrote in a web log mail.
Google has already started pushing Assistant to Lollipop phones with the linguistic communication set to English in the The states, Great britain, India, Australia, Canada, and Singapore and those with the linguistic communication set to Spanish in the US, Mexico, and Spain. It's as well rolling it out to Lollipop smartphone users in Italy, Japan, Germany, Brazil, and Korea.
"Once yous become the update and opt-in, you'll see an Assistant app icon in your 'All apps' listing," Mukha wrote.
On tablets, the feature will be rolling out "over the coming week" to slates in the United states of america running Android 7.0 Nougat and vi.0 Marshmallow with the language set to English.
Besides some Android phones and tablets, Assistant is also bachelor on Google Home and other smart speakers and appliances, iPhones, Google Allo, and Android Clothing devices.
